






The resilient coastal park is conceived as an environmental infrastructure designed to address the risks associated with climate change and provide a vast climate refuge on a metropolitan scale.
The PDU establishes the continuity of the metropolitan waterfront between Barcelona, Sant Adrià de Besòs and Badalona, guaranteeing public access to the sea and connectivity with the Besòs River Park.
The masterplan transforms former industrial land into a new mixed-use neighbourhood fully integrated into the metropolitan context, with a clear ambition to create an active and accessible seafront.
The former Besòs thermal power plant, which has been out of service since 2011, will be transformed into a true city landmark with the creation of a hub dedicated to the digital economy and creative industries.
The plan lays out a new network of streets and public spaces connecting the new neighbourhood with the surrounding districts and the seafront. It also establishes a sustainable mobility model, with particular emphasis on public transport, guaranteeing universal accessibility and the regulation of parking.
