In March 2010, AkzoNobel inaugurated its new Procolor plant in Barcelona’s Zona Franca, completing the relocation from Sant Adrià de Besòs. The new facility was designed as a highly automated plant with greater production capacity, integrated logistics, and advanced quality control systems. The relocation marked the end of the company’s historic presence in Sant Adrià and the beginning of a new phase focused on industrial innovation and competitiveness in the professional market.
